INFLUENCING POLICY FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

Childline listens to children, but we also give them a voice.

Because children and young people can speak to us confidentially and without fear of judgement, Childline Gauteng has unique access to the issues that affect their lives. 

Childline SA continues to do advocacy and lobbying for children's rights on our behalf and our national co-ordinator represents us on issues such as the Children's Bill, the Sexual Offences Bill and the Child Justice Bill. On a provincial level we participate actively in the Gauteng Programme of Action for Children, a dynamic network of government and non-governmental organisations that are committed to ushering a rights-based province.
