ChildLine listens to children, but we also give them a voice.
ChildLine's campaigns – Working to change attitudes and
practices that affect children’s safety and welfare
Influencing policy for children and young people
Briefing papers – Research based on ChildLine's unique,
first-hand access to the concerns of children and young people
While counselling is ChildLine's focus, it is only one side of
our work. Through our research and campaigns, we inform
policy-makers and the general public about key issues affecting
child safety and welfare. ChildLine responds to the problems faced
by children and young people by:
influencing social and public policy UK-wide
campaigning on issues affecting children and young people such as
bullying and internet safety
providing recommendations feeding into social and public policy
and its impact on children and young people
working with other children's organisations, professionals and key
decision-makers to change children's lives for the better.
Our work reflects children in their diversity and gives due
recognition to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the
Child.
